Our workshop provides comprehensive training for performing energy audits. Though we'll cover a variety of topics, the primary emphasis will be on new residential construction and the HERS rating process. The course also incorporates information regarding the Energy Star New Homes program, with an additional focus on the northwest region.
What are the requirements to become a certified Home Energy Rater?
- Successfully complete the HERS Training Course.
- Pass the National HERS Rater Exam.
- Complete 2 probationary ratings under the supervision of a HERS certified Rater Trainer.
- Complete the HERS rating software training provided by a RESNET certified HERS Trainer.
- Complete 3 additional probationary ratings that are approved by a HERS certified Provider.
Will this course prepare me to take the HERS Rater Exam?
Yes, this course will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to complete the National HERS Rater certification. Passing the test is still your responsibility, but upon completing our course, you will have the information required to succeed.
